    old nautique question

I have a '79 ski nautique and have removed the carpet for replacement. there is a small soft spot directly behind the engine compartment, and i was wondering what the best way to remove that section of floor was. I was also thinking about removing the ski bunks to alow me to have more floor space, but wanted to make sure they weren't stuctural before i did so. Thanks Ross

    RE: old nautique question

about the floor section... in my '78 it's just a piece of wood, we took our old one out when we restored our boat, cut a new piece to fit, epoxied it to make it waterproof, & put it back in. As for the bunks or shelves on the sides, those aren't structural, we also took those out on ours and it definitely makes it easy to walk & gives the boat a nice clean look
