    What typeof engine oil for this boat? Need to add some and have never done it.

    If the boat is green use olive oil otherwise a good caster oil will be fine, lol

    Seriously, what motor? Most likely 15w-40, usually labeled as diesel oil

      Not sure anybody can say for sure without knowing which motor is in your boat but I use 15w-40 . I'm sure it's listed in here: http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/co...Owners-Manuals

          Used shell rotella 15w-40 for 8 summers with our '05 211 (1020 hrs); other than normal maintenance, never had an issue.

              Besides a race oil IE. VR1 Valvoline, Rotella T 15-40 is the highest Zinc oil on the easily available market. Synthetic can be used given that the engine you run is a roller motor.

              My Ford was set up with bearing tolerances for 10-30 weight so it has always ran Rotella T 10-30.
