nautique cruise control not working

I have a 2008 san 210 with the nautique cruise . It was working fine and then I guess i hit a wave hard and the control popped out of the center of the steering wheel and when i picked it up i noticed some corrosion on the battery so I replaced battery and now it doesnt work . Is there a reset or how do you reprogram it or can you buy just the control disc. thanks in advance for any help

Did you clean it really well? I usually use sandpaper to scrape the contact points on things that get corroded and then use some electrical cleaner spray on it. This assumes that fall to the ground didn't kill it. Using a battery seems like a really bad idea on a boat.

yeah it had a little corrsion on it so i cleaned it and scraped it with a small file and still nothing. i cant find a remote only just a whole kit for like $237. the owners manual doesnt say much about it and i cant find any info on it either? this sucks!!
