My 2000 has courtesy lighting tied to the light switch. Check your bulbs and your wires.

My Faria speedo is tied to the same nauticlaugic system as my PP, so both my speedo and PP are GPS-based.

Installed my replacement gauge kit,,,got power and gauge needles move. The jumper wire provided from MPH to master module has me baffled. The wire gos from the MPH gauge to the master mod,,,for the MPH connection it provides 2 post connectors and a female plug in and there is no female plug connection on the MPH,,,I did connect the 2 post connections. At the other end is a female connector to the master mod,,,I cant see where to connect to the master mod.??

I only installed the Tach, and left out the Speedo. Since I had upgraded to the Stargazer, which accurately told me my speed (and RPM for that matter), I used the extra cutout to put in a stereo remote. Just an idea. Its nice to be able to keep your eyes in front of you to control the stereo instead of reaching around to mess with it. I can send a picture if you would like.

I would like to see that. Did you get a tach with an hour meter?

          I sent you a PM.

Is it possible before the install to send power to the tach and run the hour meter up to the current hours on the boat. I know I can always remember what to add to the new reading, but it would be nice for the gauge to be correct.

Im not sure if you can run the hours up,,,when mine first lit up it read zeros. I think it only counts hours when the motor is running and that may be a different signal compared to just having power to the gauge.

I'm pretty sure mine is counting hours when I press the start button but don't hold it down to start. I know my 97 did, but that was a stand alone gauge. I would turn the key to the on position. I always power the dash on when I fill up with gas so I know when it's getting close to full. I try and listen for the gas coming up the neck and cut it off before it backs up all over the boat.

I dont have my new gauges completely hooked up yet so Im not sure about registering hours,,,I still need to connect up to my master mod. The gas fill situation can be messy,,,had a Malibu that vented on the other side of the boat,,,after filling her up you would see where she puked gas out onto the ground,,,,clean up with absorbent from station. So now its like you do.
