2000 ski nautique key pad issues (GT-40)

Today while skiing my keyless ignition would not shut down the engine. Eventually I had to kill the power to turn the engine off. Then my keypad on the other side of the boat all lit up and would not turn off. Have you ever heard of this? I am thinking I might have a ground problem? That would be way better than a keypad issue. Thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Tom

    Wow!

I would check the toggle switch (notorious for failure) and your ground like you already said. I have run a thicker power line and ground wire on our boat to get more consistent voltage at the dash. Check your voltage at the dash if you can.

Hopefully the brain box is not the problem.
