Busted off brake caliper on Dorsey trailer

I have no idea how this happened but you would think I could of felt it happen... Does anyone have a quick ufp disk brake diagram??

    I'm guessing its a 3600 model

It ripped the line and caliper off whatever happened? Anyone have an idea? .. I did not see any frame damage above the brake.

Kind of hard tell from the photo but it appears that you caliper bolts fell out and parted way with the mounting bracket. I am kind of surprised that it is not hanging there by the hose. Are you sure someone did not steal it and cut the line?

What does the inside of the rim look like? I agree its hard to tell from that picture. I think the replacement caliper is a GM part. Its been to long since I have had a Dorsey trailer.

The UFP website has quite a bit of information on their products. I think Eastern Marine (aka Trailer Parts Superstore) carries a fairly extensive inventory of UFP products as well.

This happened to me as well. Through my research I have read that this happens for two reasons. One that only one bolt holds caliper on. Two that because the caliper uses hard lines and the caliper moves it causes a vibration each time brake is applied. I am going back with bradded lines to see if it fixes issue.

Good luck my caliper was still stuck in the rim. I also have Dorsey trailer
