    Cutting Seat Back foam

I am trying to fit some Polk DB651s up in the front of my SAN and having some issues due to the large diameter of the speaker and grills compared to the stock cloth inserts. Any tricks to cutting some of the foam out? I tried with a stock razor blade and it wasnt the easiest. Hoping to not have to take all of the skin off to get it out.

Any other tips and tricks to getting the speakers down to be more flush mounted?

Use a hacksaw blade. The fine teeth make it easy to cut through foam.

Good suggestion. Might be a dumb question, but how do you get the blade strokes to work with the fiberglass seat backing? Just trying to envision this while at my desk and my coffee hasn't started working yet.

If you have an electric carving knife it works great. If you don't, ask you parents I'll bet they have one somewhere. If you're over 50 and don't have one... When did you give it to Goodwill...
