    1999 air nautique circuit breaker

I have a 1999 air nautique it keeps tripping the 15 amp breaker in the engine compartment and kills the motor not sure what this is protecting to try and isolate the problem. Any ideas?

It could be a weak breaker, pick up a new one and see if that helps.

If it is the fuel pump breaker, it could be a fuel pump getting weak. As the electric motor in the fuel pumps wear, they draws more current, and that can cause the breaker to trip.

When you lift the engine cover, and turn the key on, you should easily hear the fuel pumps run for about 2 seconds, without starting the engine. If the breaker trips, and you do not hear the fuel pumps run, try resetting the breaker, and turn the key off and on again, you have identified the fuel pump breaker.

Hey thanks for the help. The pump dose engage when you turn the ignition on. But after you start the boat it run a couple seconds then it kicks the breaker and dies. So i think ill replace the breaker and if that dosent work ill look at the fuel pump.
