The last two times we've taken our 2000 Super Air out I've found water in the hose that connects the bilge blower exhaust pipe (the rigid pipe in the center rear of the engine compartment that exhausts the air out the stern) to the pipe that goes down into the bilge in the right rear corner of the driver's side ballast tank compartment. Last time there was about a quart this time about half that much. Looks like the previous owner replaced the hose with a flexible dryer vent hose from the local hardware store. There is a fair amount of slack in this hose and it lays on top of the ballast tank before it goes up and into the pipe into the bilge. That's where the water collects.
1) Is this normal? Hard to believe that much water dripped in from people climbing in and out over the swim step.
2) What is the right way to plumb the rigid exhaust pipe to the pipe that goes down into the bilge. If someone was willing to take a picture of their setup, I would really appreciate it.
3) I also had water leaking out the heater core when we started out today. I didn't notice it right away but it dried up about 15 minutes or so after we first left the dock. Could this be related to the water that was in the blower hose?
Thanks - Gene
