In the process of installing a Dripless packing system into our 05 196 with an Excalibur engine.
Boat came from the factory with a tapered shaft on both ends so getting the shaft out of the shaft coupler was pretty straightforward. After removing the nut inside the coupler I used the 4 longer bolts and a socket technique, penetrating oil, a touch of heat, and a rap with a hammer and it popped off.
Our other club boat and my personal boat have the 6.0 so I am not sure where to tap in to get water for the PSS. If somebody would be so kind as to either post a picture of give a description of where to tap in for cooling water for the seal I would be eternally grateful and probably buy you a beer if we ever meet.
Thanks
Jim
