Tricks for getting out a semi-rounded exhaust drain?

I did a little searching and didn't find anything. Does anyone have any tips for getting out a semi-rounded exhaust drain plug? Was partially rounded by the PO, then I made it more roundy. Still has some edges. This is on a gt-40. The drain is a square 5/8s. Seems like a 8 point box end would be perfect but doesn't look like anyone makes those. 8 point socket won't fit with out taking the exhause hoses off. I have tried deep creep and then some light heat. No dice.

    Any tips will be appreciated.

More heat. Give it some taps when it is hot to see if you can break it free.
Anyway you can get a pipe wrench on it?

My brother had one stuck on his Mastercraft and he had to get it red hot to get the plug out. Once it is out replace it and don't forget to use liberal amounts of anti-seize.

Second small pipe wrench. They work well on softer metals like brass.
