I have a dhl trailer to tow my Nautique which I'm having problems with it throwing bearing protectors only on the left front wheel. All I have changed is overhauling the brakes and repacking the bearings and now I have gone through 3 buddies on that wheel, the last one I tapped it on with gasket cement and 10mins latter when I stopped and checked, gone. Any help would be great, it's not getting hot but maybe pressurising? Thanks Brad

Does it have the castle nut / cotter pin? If so, check to make sure both halves of your cotter pin are properly bent back over the end of the spindle. I have seen extra long cotter pins used that interfere with the bearing cap. If not...check the mating surface where the bearing cap is pressed into for distortion, burrs...should have a good tight press fit.Peace..

Here is a link to the company that makes them. I have found that they are a great resource and very friendly on the phone. http://www.ufpnet.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspxNautiqueless in San Diego

I think you need to check the pre load on that bearing. If the hub is just a little too loose the extra slop can cause those protectors to fly off once you get rolling. Since you've recently repacked the bearings it seems a likely place to start.
