backrest removal

Hi my 94 sport open bow is starting to get a few small cracks around the handles in the bow and dont know how to remove the backrest in the bow to see if i can get to the nuts for the handles, any help would be great thanks, brad

The upholstered panels? I think they are held on by bolts on the panels that go through the fiberglass deck of the boat. Someone with tiny hands bolted them in.
Remember, somebody had to be able to put your boat together. It should be possible to take it apart.

Yes the upholstered backrest that raps around the bow, hoping to take that out to get to the nuts that holds the handles on

Can you get to them from under dash/observer seat area?

The pictures will show how the bow backrests are attached. Looks like getting to the rails is going to require some universal joints in your arms
