I'm thinking of replacing my 1" manifold plugs on my 450 to these to make it easier to drain. I am not going to do a full winterization as we plan on a several winter runs. Does anyone know of a reason why this wouldn't work or have a better solution? My guess is I will have to take off the handle to install them and then put the handle back on.

Any plastic seals or bushings in there that can't take the heat? Would make me nervous in that situation but if the heat rating is high enough (shouldn't be a problem with the pressure) it should work. With the vibration and impact of boat life and what not my first thought is I would want to put a plug in the outlet but that just defeated the purpose of adding it... Maybe run a hose down to the drain and put a cap on the end of it just for safety reasons but still make it easy to do from one place?
