    2007 196 w/ 5.7 PCM missing (330HP)

My motor developed a miss this year and is has become extremely annoying. It is not that bad in the summer months especially once the motor is hot but when it’s cold and the motor is cold is bad. Fuel is fresh and it has a new fuel filter. Motor has 126 hours. Took it out of the water last night and on ran it on land with the flame arrestor off to get a view of the intake. It really seem like the computer was doing something with the fuel or air flow. Motor would pulsate when I set the RPM’s to 800RPM. Anyone had any similar issues or ideas?

You first need to single out if it is misfiring on multiple cylinders or just one. The engine has low hours but the distributor caps tend to corrode on the contacts from age not usage. Might pop that off and take a look see. It is a problem with automotive Chevys with that style cap on it too. That's where I would start looking first.

I'm glad it's a mechanical issue - the title led me to believe your whole boat was "missing"
