Does anyone know the length of the wire from the starboard helm control to the valve cut off on a 2003 210? Mine got a kink and eventually snapped the helm control. I ordered the replacement wire and a 17.5' was sent. I'm guessing 17.5' by the 1706 written on the ticket. When the wire is straight, it opens and closes smoothly. When I have to bend it several times to connect, it won't budge. I think the original was 16.5' but this still seems too long and could be why it kinked in the first place. My guess is I need a 15.5'. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
