Draining FCC, How much Fuel is there??

So I bought a new boat and decided to change the fuel filter. So I undid the drain plug and the fuel never stops. So far I go 2 gallons drained out and then I decided to stop and come here and ask. Is this normal or do I have to much fuel in my fuel tank? Please Help or I will need a 20 gallon gas container to drain it all.

Thanks anyway guys finally got all the fuel out. Now I have to get the unit to turn. Already broken 2 oil filter wrenches. I will get 2 more tomorrow and maybe get it off with a little luck and power..

go to auto zone in the oil filter section they sell a strap filter wrench, the strap is 3" wide with seat belt nylon webbing. It then can attach to 1/2 drive socket or an open end wrench. They are put on so tight sometimes the local dealer removes the unit and ships back to Orlando for filter change out. eat your Wheaties in the morning.
