SAN 210 not sitting on Ramlin trailer correctly?

Whoever did your marine survey for you should not be doing marine surveys...

I have to agree with that 100%. You should certainly get a refund for that survey considering all of the issues that were missed!

Yes, we are working that angle also.... I guess I may have gotten lucky on the original boat doing the same pre-checks; Speak to the Dealer, Hire a third party (Licensed and Certified) survey, run History Report, etc before purchasing... The original boat was absolutely mint and had no issues.... I am learning (albeit too late) that I cannot trust anyone....

The trailer is soley the person that matched the boat to the trailer, whoever that maybe, we will try and find out who... we have also contacted the original owner, who is a snow skiing vacation in Colorado on my dime, but he will not return calls. The left a VM for the surveyor, which he probably will not call.... all in all we will have to figure out the trailer situation with the help of Ramlin.... The Ramlin Technician is almost too concerned, which is good. He has asked for photos for different angles an specific parts and has taken them to the owner for review. He will no doubt help us figure this out, whether we have to purchase a new trailer or modify this one... Another punch to the gut, I still have yet to recieve the title for the trailer from the dealer, for which they state that the onwer is dragging his feet.... this situation continues to have a black cloud over it..... I thought I did everything correct, but got taken for a fool!!

You are not a fool but are now a very informed used boat owner. Now if you do this type of transaction again in the future "fool" might apply. Good luck with the outcome.

Maybe we could start having new potential owners, have a member of this site help check out boats if they are in the area of purchase.... It would be far from official, but I would trust a long time CC owner before I'd trust many a marine surveyor.... (I know there are plenty of good ones out there)

Ya know shag, that would be a good idea, and when bank loans require the surveyor additionally include a PO or member

Well, the surveyor states that the cracks on the tower were filled in and on the trip from GA to TX, it must have fell out.... nothing was said about the trailer.....

Are you at a point that you would share the name of the surveyor? I know people make mistakes, but I would not want to use them.

While not my first boat. I did this. Worked great. And saved me a trip to Dallas.
