High hopes freeze plug popped out. 08 230 Prepared for the worst

Hey guys, as the title says I have high hopes about freeze plug popping out of my exhaust manifold. I winterized my Nautique 230 with the 343pcm Myself last fall. I drained the block and I drained the exhaust manifolds. Put drain bolts back in. I filled the block with a gallon of marine safe antifreeze. I just pulled it out of storage today and found two freeze plugs on the port side. First thing I did was check the block freeze plugs and they are still in With no sign of anything. Then I checked my oil which looks perfect no sign of water. What should I test next? Is there a way to test the manifold to make sure it didn't crack? Should I pull the spark plugs out and check for fluid? This was posted from my phone sorry for grammatical errors.

Any water in the crank case will settle under the oil. It will not mix the oil until the engine is run. So I would change the oil prior to running, but you need to first find the location for those plugs and get some put back in.

leak down test I have a thred right under this one same thing happened to me but I had 32 hours on it this year after the poped freez plug now im buying a new motor. I would do a leak down test. or a compreshion check. but I will say my readings were fine and ran good for 32 hours then went wish you the best

I am sure that there isn't a significant amount of water in the oil because of the level however you have a good point about the water settling

What Frost plug came out? one in the exhaust manifold? Was the block drained of water and filled with coolant also?

yep drained and had winterization done it was the block drain plug one on each side in center put new ones in and ran it for 32 hours and no sighns of milk at all went to drain oil and change nothing but milk. pulled heads off and a crack from cylinder to cylinder starting at a bolt hole moving into the cylinder over to the next cylinder threw water jacket into another cylinder. absolutely no sighns of water damage on outside or in valley area.

I am sorry to hear that. I have a good feeling that I am still going to be ok. I think my block was drained well enough but there must have been just enough water left in the manifold to push out the plugs when it froze. It only happened on the one side.

Anyone know of a way to test the manifold out?

I suppose I could pull the spark plugs out and the riser offer and just fill it with water and see if it drains into the cylinder?

Just got off the lake. Everything seems good. I will keep my eye on it for the next few times out.

I have a 08 210 with a 343 engine it takes a lot more than 1 gal to fill the block. I pore antifreeze in at the thermostat housing until it comes out the exhaust. I think it was 4-5 gals.

Agree it was more than 4 gallons if i remember right. This year I decided to drain and not backfill with rv antifreeze.
