don't get ripped off like I did!

I broke a helm ballast knob, and ordered a replacement from Mid-Ohio. 48 bucks, including my 15% discount. I was in a hurry because of some travel so I didn't do the research, shame on me. Anyway. This control is made by Flow-rite (same folks how make the leaky valves) and on thier site the ballast control assy is 14 bucks! SO I PAID 3 times the amount even with a 15% discount. And the unit I received did not come with the label for the starboard side, what's up with that?

hey I understand businesses are here for a profit, but come on CC, on top of the crappy valves, this is rediculous!

Mid, no beef with you guys, I am sure the pricing comes from the factory.

anyway here's the link for anyone that ever needs replacements, you can order direct.

Just take a sharp edge and get the starboard label from your old knob. It should stick right in the new one. That is how I did mine. And yes, I took that beating also. Felt like a chump when I found the flow-rite site.

exactly what I did, thanks bro. Luckily it was still in a trash bucket in my garage. Just want to make sure none of the good people on this site get taken like I did.

      Save your old knobs!

Thanks for the tip. That knob is not under warranty?

I'm the second owner so the 5 year did not transfer, only the limited lifetime.
