Accessory Key Pad on 2000 Air Nautique

When I bought my boat the dealer realized the accessory key pad was not working and promised to replace it with a new one. He made good on the promise, and the new one from Nautique Parts showed up yesterday.
My question is what are the three holes in the upper left hand corner of the new key pad for? The old one didn't have these.
Attached are pictures of first the new one and second the old key pad.

I think that triangular area was covered with a decal warning you not to do anything stupid.

By the way, the up and down buttons on the keypad on the other side are for the engine hatch on Super Airs. and Super Sports. correct craft used the same keypads in all the different models of boats that year.

FYI you can't get the wood grain in the ignition side of the keypad anymore. The only reason there is wood left on the right is because CC still has some in stock. In the blank spot there would have been the Engineered for xxx decal. I believe my guy can make those if you so desire to have your name on your boat.

Thanks for the info Zack, PM me with the details on the decal. I would be interested in one.
Luckily the ignition keypad was replaced with wood grain recently.

I have not verified this is available, but this site appears to stock the wood grain ignition keypad:

I have the carbon fiber keypads and they are starting to go. I should probably order some replacements before they are all gone.

KEYPAD, IGNITION PORT BLACK (replaces wood grain) 2000
Direct copy and paste from Nautique's dealer connect. Unless they bought all the stock (they didn't) they don't have wood grain or carbon fiber. For some dumb reason they decided to keep the wood grain number as an active part number instead of just making one number to order the black piece. The ignition side is the most commonly replaced so naturally it was the first to change color. I have ordered both ways and they show up black on the port side. No more carbon on the STBD side either I don't believe. They still picture the wood grain piece on the website tagged with the part number so it may have slipped by their web guy.

I lied, carbon is still available in the STBD side as well. Port is the only side effected as of now in both color combinations.

That's a shame. The carbon is way cooler than the black replacement.

The three holes are for a push pin logo from the factory that has your family name. For example. It would say engineered for the jones family.
