    Fuel filter

Does anyone know of a diagram that shows where the fuel filter is on a 2002 SANTE python motor? Took the boat out for the first time after winter and boat started right up and then I couldn't get it to start. Ended up getting towed of the water.

Pretty sure the only fuel filter on that boat is inside the FCC(black canister near the back of the motor). The canister spins off and the fuel filter is inside. You'll need an oil filter wrench or a strap wrench to get it off. If it's really stubborn you may need to disconnect the fuel lines and put it in a vice and use a long bar to get leverage. Here is a link to the filter. Don't forget the PND 10% discount code.

Shawn, I talked with Corey earlier. Hit or miss if they had a Inline filter and some had a pre filter for the low pressure pump too. If it had an inline it would be on top of the tank or probably on the STBD stringer somewhere under the rear floor removable section.

Hmm I never noticed an in-line filter on mine but can't say I ever looked for it either. I'll have to see if mine came with one or not.

Seemed to show up a lot more in the years post 2000. 2012 they nixed it and added a screw on style water fuel separator supplied by PCM. We had issues with the smaller inline filters getting packed full of sediment like no other.
