So I replaced my fuel pump in my 01 San and still I'm not getting fuel. Is there a certain way to prime it ?

Did you replace the low or high pressure pump? I'm assuming you have a key pad instead of a key? If so I'm not sure what the equivalent is for you but I'll explain what I'd do with a keyed boat. When turning the key to on(not to start) you should hear the pump kick on and run for a couple seconds. If you are hearing this then repeat this process several times to prime it. Off the top of my head I think the manual recommends 5-7 times after draining the FCC so I'd assume it'd be similar for replacing a fuel pump. If you are not hearing the pump kick on then you may have popped a breaker so check that those aren't tripped. If those are fine, then it could be the relay that needs replacing.
Are you sure you hooked the fuel lines back up correctly? I believe it's possible to mix up the return line and feed line which will just keep pumping fuel back into the tank instead of to the fuel rail.Shawn

Thats alot of help thanks. I manually primed it by filling it today. It was the high pressure it ran fine until it ran through the fuel cell gas. Then nothing. So I filed the cell with gas again and the same thing happens. Ran fine for 5 mins then poof. So it's def not getting fuel. Any suggestions. And what's worse my friend just bought a 2012 x2. So I was a trader today ha.

I'm pretty sure the low pressure pump is supposed to keep the FCC full and the high pressure pump pulls from the FCC so it sounds like it might be a low pressure pump issue. Are you hearing a pump cycle when you do the equivalent of turning the key to on? If not I'd start zeroing in on that low pressure pump. Make sure it's getting power. If it is getting power but not pumping it's probably dead.
If the low pressure pump is cycling but not pulling fuel then I'd check the anti-siphon valve which is on the fuel tank. If this gets gummed up it can stop fuel flow.

Oh and make sure the safety lanyard is hooked up. That thing has turned out to be the cause of many fuel issues but I don't think it's your issue based on it running when you add fuel to the FCC.Last edited by s_kelley2000; 04-26-2014, 09:46 PM.Shawn

There is a screen also in your low pressure pump. I fully disassembled mine LP pump and with 1000+ hrs untouched it checked out fine. One great trouble shooting tip is to hook up clear hose inline on your anti syphon valve on the tank. You can watch flow and see if any air is being drawn into the system or other issues.
