overheated on lkn

Put the 05air in today. First time it has been started since winterization. Made it from the ramp to the dock to grab the wife and kids. Wife noticed some smoke coming out of the back of the engine cover. Opened it up and it there was antifreeze spewing from reservoir and all Around the general area. I mean steam to the point I thought something was on fire. It ran like a top before winterization and the local nautique dealer did the work.. Any thoughts??? 😨

Is the raw water seacock closed by chance? Also check to be sure the valve for the freshwater flush (if equipped) is closed, and that they reinstalled the O-ring on the raw water strainer.

Jeff, thanks for the reply. How can I tell?? It is an 05air 206 limited... It has the zr6 engine. I had the yearly winterization done by the local nautique dealer in mooresville. He has always done my work.. In didn't get any alarms or anything. And the temp gauge wasn't alarming... I didn't change the impeller this year but I only have 148 hours... Looks like I'm screwed for mothers day though, the dealer hasn't returned my call...

Here's a diagram of the water intake valve and the strainer in your boat. Check to be sure the valve is open, and check to be sure the O-ring is in the strainer.

Jeff, is this a common issue for winterization? For some reason I am stuck on thinking it had to have been caused by the winterizatrion. The boat ran flawlessly all season and I have never had any engine issues.
