    Integrated battery charger

    Hey folks,

Just wondering if anyone has added one to their ride and if so, did you add a through-hull plug somewhere? I bought one for my boat and can't decide if I should go through the hull or just leave cord accessible.....

just leave the cord accessible.... run it back to one of the rear tunk compartments and zip tie it right under one of the lips, as far back to the transom as it'll reach with a little 2-3" slack so its easy to grab and plug in.. so you can from the swim platform... pop open the trunk, plug it in with your extension cord, and shut the trunk.

I would not waste the time or money cutting a 1"+ hole in my fiberglass for that. Its just too easy and quick with this^^ setup. Good luck.

+1. My charger power cord is tucked-up under the lip of the storage compartment behind cooler port side. I'm not a fan of drilling holes.

Not a CC, but the same concept. Outlet is located in the rear locker. Your extension cord can be snaked out of the locker, so the hatch closes and down the side so to not interfere with the cover.

+1 against through hull. Just pop open rear trunk and plug it in.

Canadian Tire has the NOCO Genius 2 bank on sale this week. Completely waterproof and shock resistant. I'm running 3 deep cycles in parallel for my stereo and a single optima for starting. Perfect unit for this setup and I'll be all-in for less than a hundred bucks!

I am running the same charger works great I just have the cord under seat when I get home I just plug it in. My batteries are Northstar deep cycles I can run my stereo for hours. The stock alternator s can't keep up so if you have your batteries charged via the genius you are good for the whole day. Typically you can get about 2+ hours per battery, so running 3 in series it should last you 6 - 10 hours.
