Boat Lifts and bunk widths....

Haven't seen any discussion on this....but curious if Nautique has a recommendation...

Should the bunk width on a boat lift be set equal to the width of the main stringers? Or maybe the width of the trailer bunks?

Mine are set to the trailer bunk width.
