    05 SANTE perfectpass issue

    Folks,

Looking for some help with perfect pass wakeboard pro. Had the boat out for the first time 2 nights ago and had a problem with the throttle going to the floor. When I got to looking at it the "knob" and cable on the PP servo was way loose. I turned it til no slack was in the cable and then the boat and throttle worked fine.

Took the boat out for a run and everything was running great. Looked at the PP gauge and it lit up green but there was no data. I looked at the manual for the PP and it says to check voltage at the servo motor. I checked tonight and it was fine. 12+ volts.

It also said to test to loosen up the cable with the boat off and then when you turn the boat on it will "auto-tighten". This is not happening. I am able to turn the know when the boat is on which I should not be able to do.

Is there a way to check the servo motor to see if it is back with a multi-meter?

The next thing that PP says to check in the manual is the master module.

Has anyone else had any problems like this?

thanks for the help in advance.

Run the phase test to check the rest of the wires and servo function. http://www.perfectpass.com/?q=videos

I just checked this again tonight. problem is that i am not getting 12volts to the power of the master module. so i checked the voltage to everything else in the dash pod, and it was also not 12 volts. Was around 7 volts.

Any thoughts on this and if it is suppose to be like this? The east fix for the PP is that i can just run a 12v directly from the battery to the master module and it will work but don't know if i should worry about everything else only running at 7v?

Boat ran fine the other night on the river and all gauges worked fine.

      Thoughts?

      Thanks

I had voltage issues after installing PP. I replaced the pos and grd wires with a new 8 ga circuit. the 9ish volts I was getting is now 13.2 at the dash when running. I actualy replaced the main run to the fuse block. I am running the pumps from there and needed the capacity. I also replaced the purple wire to the ignition with 12 ga. I also replaced a ground wire that was feeding the gauges and dash. Definitly got rid of my voltage drop issues. Voltmeter never read above 11 volts, and now almost 14 volts when running.

update.....checked everything on this. Was only getting 7v when dash cluster when system was hooked up normally.....I started disconnecting ground points from the dash cluster and then I would get the 12v that was needed....determined that my ground in the dash somewhere was bad. Ran a new ground to the cluster from battery and now getting a constant 12v so the PP is working normal!

tonight I start the task of replacing the steering cable.
