    Spark plugs for GT-40

Has anyone used platinum spark plus in a gt-40 motor? Was there any noticeable difference?

What is the plug number for the Autolite and NGK plugs?

Do not know the numbers for the plugs but as far as performance goes they will last longer which is their selling point. I have not noticed any performance gains when I have used them before.

        Autolite's website indicates Autolite 104 (regular) or Autolite AP104 (platinum) for PCM 5.8 310hp which I assume is GT40. See e.g. http://www.autolite.com/catalog/other_catalog.htm

My PCM Engine Owners Manual lists Motorcraft AWFS22 spark plugs for the GT40. It also lists the Autolite equivalent as 763.

The right plug is Autolite 764 for the standard plug and AP764 is the platinum plug number, the Autolite 104 is for the Apex engine. If you install new plugs check you new plugs for proper gaps before installing them.
