Boat taking on water

Just picked up a 2003 SN 206 limited. Brought it home and dropped it in the lake.

Runs great, low hours, great condition. One problem; the boat seems to be taking on more water than it should while parked in the water.

I have checked the following: rudder packing, prop shaft packing, exhaust, speedo tubes in rear. does anyone have any other ideas where the water could be coming in? It took on about 8-10 gallons id guess over night.

Any help would be appreciated!

Shaft packing is most likely. Open the access cover behind the engine and take a look. If it has a pretty good drip it needs to be tightened or replaced

Since you are in vt I'm sure the boat was winterized. They might have forgot to put a freeze plug back in the block. You will take on water when the boat is running and more the faster you go. Tough to find because most people look for a water leak with the boat off.

Where the upper deck and hull meet. It was hard to find but had that happen. Strap back down to trailer, back in and look
