Hi. I'm working on a 1992 Barefoot Nautique engine cover lift that operates in only one direction. The switch on the dash indicates power in either the up or down direction, however, the lift piston only operates in one direction. I can change the polarity at the motor by swapping the wires and that gets only the opposite direction. It's like I'm missing a voltage inverter somewhere in the circuit. It's gotta be simple as it's only 12 vdc.
There are two what look to be relays in the wiring of the pump motor. Maybe these are the voltage inverters?
