    Ignition wiring question

I am trying to fix a bad wiring job someone did on my stereo. 2002 SANTE. I have a dual battery system with a 200 amp isolator/combiner relay only, no perko switch. The problem is that the way it is currently wired, it closes the relay as soon as I punch the code and hit start button one time on the keypad, engine not running. Correctly wired, it should not combine until after the engine is running and the batteries are charging. I have pretty much narrowed down the problem to the remote turn on feed. I am looking for remote turn on source that is only powered after the engine is running, not when only the accessories are on. I read somewhere there is a yellow/red ignition wire that may be what I need, but I was not able to find it. If this is the correct wire, does anyone know where to find it (dash, breakers, engine???)?

Thanks in advance for the help.

In case anyone tries to reference this in the future, I found there is a purple "run" wire behind the dash that sends power to the gauges once the engine is running. I tapped into that for my signal and it works great.

I'm happy to hear you found what your looking for but wouldn't you want to listen to your stereo while in the water with the engine off? Or am I missing something?
In my 230 my stereo turns on before the engine is running. When you start the engine the stereo turns down the volume then back up after a 30-45 seconds.

My stereo has always turned on before the boat is started, ans still does. I have two batteries with a 200 amp isolator/combiner. My issue was that the isolator was connected to the same remote wire as the stereo, so it was combining the batteries before the boat was started, thereby defeating the purpose of having two batteries and a isolator. Now, the stereo remote is connected to an accessory on wire and the combiner remote is connected to a engine run wire so it only combines the batteries after the boat is started and alternator is charging the batteries.

This was too long ago to remember. If you are looking for a 12v source that is only powered if the engine is running, based on the above posts, it is the purple wire in the dash.
