serpentine belt replacement process on 2005 Excalibur?
My belt is starting to squeal and I see some minor wear on it. The belts seem rather easy to replace, but anyone know where to find the torque settings for it? Im guessing its not an "eye ball" tight and done job.
Thanks!
It has an automatic tensioner. 15mm wrench to relax the pulley, belt falls off, route new belt, relax the tensioner, slip belt over last pulley, release tensioner, viola!
Take off belt and check for grinding and easy spin on everything (alternator, tensioner). You may find it is the tensioner going bad and not the belt that is the problem.
