Another good idea is to have the back rail lower than the front rail with the 2x10's angled with similar inward pitch like the trailer. as you pull in, the boat will center into the lift on the 2x10s and keep you from pulling too far forward. We mark the PVC poles with black tape at the level to lower that sets us in perfect and mark the boat on the transom where the shaft comes out so we know exactly how far forward to pull (usually where the ballast overflow hoes are on the SANs) We just cut (2) 12-inch sections of 3000lb chain from Home Depot and added them to the back rail. Costs 5$ and having the back lowered also helps from hitting the center fins underneath when backing out with extra people in the boat. Hope this helps.
