    Throttle Sticking - 2002 SANTE

Ok Guys, I have a problem with my throttle sticking. DOesnt go back to the quiet idle sticking. It looks liek the guy before me rigged some kind of a spring to always help pull the throttle back to its neutral position (On the engine). This one is definitely not a stock spring and its rigged. Sometimes I literally need to go to the back and pull the throttle back to its neutral state, very annoying !!! I noticed a "careburator" spring on nautique parts, but not sure if this is even a part for my boat or where it would even go for the throttle. I also have the PCM excalibur engine.

    Here is the link

    Can someone help me ??

Sounds like you need a new throttle cable rather than a new band aid...

Is it the cable itself that would cause it to stick? Seems like its more of an issue at the back, but hey, i am no mechanic.

You could rule out the cable by disconnecting it and operating the throttle by hand with engine off. If it returns freely, look hard at the cable.

Does your boat have Perfect Pass or any other type of speed control? If so check to make sure that the servo motor isn't getting in the way of the throttle cable.

I do have a perfect pass and I actually just ordered a new cap for the servo motor with the cable leading up to the throtlle body as the cap has bit the dust.

This is my first stage to getting to fix the throttle sticking
