We were out skiing behind my buddies 2006 SV-211 with the 330 Excalibur. Couldnt avoid the wave and slammed the boat pretty good on the wave. The engine then cut everything to idle only. You could still go in gear, but no throttle. Shut the boat off, restarted and then we had throttle again. I thought it was a little odd and not sure if that was some sort of safety feature?

I remember seeing a post or two about this in the past. I just did a quick search and did not see anything. But from what I remember it was exactly as you described: big wave, cut to idle and could not get throttle and then everything is fine after a restart. I think the determination was that something fluked out with the drive by wire and was rectified by restarting. Maybe somebody else remembers or can find the old thread for you.Shawn
