    Christines vs factory replacement skins?

Just curious if anyone can outline if there any differences between what the two suppliers provide?

Christines has a top reputation...no worries there....just curious if anyone has tried both and can summarize if there is any real differences in what you get. (Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to discover that Christine's is doing older skins for the factory on an outsourced basis...).

    Boat's a 1997 per the sig line.

I could be wrong but I don't think the factory does skins for boats more than about 5 years old. Christine's has all of the original patterns and is licensed to use the Correct Craft and Nautique logos. If a Christine's interior is installed correctly it should look exactly the same as it would have when it rolled off the factory floor back in 97.

I think the factory goes 10 years back with their replacements, so you may be out of luck there. I had a boat that needed a few new skins, ordered factory skins through Nautique parts and they were pretty reasonable. Came with the backing material and trim pieces too.

My local dealer said he could supply skins. I didn't press if it was factory or not but got the impression it was. Maybe one more call is in order...

ordered skins for my 06 from christines a few weeks ago. Dealer said the factory no longer provides skins for my year boat. I did get a skin from the factory a few years back so looks like 5 years may be the cut off. I will have a direct comparison once the new skins come in.
