Fatsac size for 06 SAN 210

Hey Fellas,

First post!

Picked up a 2006 SAN 210 about 6 months ago. We are using it primarily for surfing. We have a multiple 200lb'ers riding and it just isn't throwing a big enough wake. I am leaning towards adding fatsacs, but wanted to know what size you guys were running and/or recommend.

Wake Makers is a good place to start.

For my 04 SANTE, same hull as yours, I decided to go piggy back in the rear and a sack on top of the bow seats. I'm just over 200 lbs myself, and I can ride without the rope no problem, though keep in mind your surf board plays a big part in that.

I have a pair of the 440 lb wedge sacks for the rear compartments and a 660 lb locker sack I use in the bow on top of the seats, so I can fill it up completely.

I fill the side were ridding on in the rear, 260 lbs, and the 440 lb wedge sack on top of it (700 lbs total in the locker). I then pull the 440 lb wedge sack out of the othere rear locker and place it on the rear seat on the side we are ridding on. Then I fill the 660 lb sack in the bow, and the center tank, 330 lbs. I also have about 120 lbs of lead in the bow under the front seat. This is the setup for only a driver in the boat, I usually don't fill the 440 lb sack on the rear seat if I have enough people in the boat to make up for it.

If you are piggybacking then the Fly High 440 lb nautique wedge sacs or a pair of 400 LB v-drive sacs is what you are looking for. If you want to rip the tanks out and have just one bag in each locker then either the Fly High 750s or the Sumo 900s is what you want. If the 900s were available when I purchased my boat I would have gone with those because I think they pretty much fill the locker completely. The 750s still leave room for life jackets and ropes on top even when full.

You guys go big! In my 03 I would simply throw two 250 pounds sacs on seat and floor on the side we surfed. It's not huge but very surfable (if that's a word) also we used a sweet spot which I believe made it easier

Pull out the hard tanks and replace with 750 lb fly high sacs. More storage space, easier to service the engine/bilge area. Only downside is your ballast gauges won't work, which could be a problem on the 2006 due to the way the ballast pump auto shut off was wired. I think it was wired back to the gauge to turn the pump off automatically when the gauge was on "E"? Can anyone else confirm that? That might require some figuring and investigation before ripping those tanks out. Piggyback system might be the easier way to go.

Thanks. I plan on keeping the stock tanks in. So it sounds like a couple 440lb sacks would be a good start and also throw a couple husky friends on the bow.

what speed are you riding at?
