1982 Ski Nautique 2001 - I was out on the water for the first time this year... After running for about 1 hour solid, trying to get the new fuel thru the lines, sitting at idle the motor just stopped. Engine would turn over, starter, etc. but no fire. Pulled the spark arrester off, was able to watch fuel pump into the carb. Waited about 10 minutes and then it fired. Drove slowly back to the dock and then same thing, it stalled when idling. Couldnt keep it running. I am guessing the carb is likely the issue and needs rebuilt. Last year, after running somewhat hard, the motor wouldn't idle down. I'd have to manually twist the carb linkage (secondaries?) to get it to idle right. Just trying to rule out ignition coil/resistor issues. Any recommendations from the experts out there?
