230 ZR prop upgrades?

I've just replaced the 1235 on our 230-Zr6 (due to damage) with a new 1235, but was wondering if anybody here has used the 2247 or 2249 on their 230? Appears to be room to fit the larger props, looks to be about 7/8" from the 1235 to the hull.
Just interested in differences in performance with the larger diameter props.

Miljack- generally the prop folks recommend you maintain at least 1" clearance between prop tip and hull. Some sporadic reports of hull chaffe... But lots of folks run 3/4" without issues, your call.

now, with a 14" pitch prop you are leaving a lot of low end tq on the table vs a 12" pitch, you would launch 0-23 MUCH faster, but lose top end speed. Going larger dia with reduce prop slip some.

This would be easier if you described what you are looking for in terms of performance. What's your top speed now?

Props perform very similar across all boats and motors... Unless you have a 550 in a 210 or something wild like that.

Not really looking for any specific improvement, just wondering if the 15" diameter prop would be more efficient for what we are doing. We don't really wakeboard that much loaded down super heavy.
Current top speed is about 42mph, I do need to cruise for 15 minutes or so to get to good water on the weekends, so, it's nice to have a comfortable cruise speed between 3k-3.5k Rpm.

I put a loaner 2249 on my 2019 SAN230 because it was all the prop shop had to give me while they were fixing mine. The 2249 is 3/4" from hull -- been out a couple times and no signs of wear on the gel coat. I found that it is much more comfortable and quiet to cruse at higher speeds because the boat is running at lower RPMs with the 2249 prop. We upgraded our engine to the H5 so there is a bit more low end torque to offset the loss from the larger prop. I don't feel any difference getting pulled out of the water on my surfboard fully loaded with factory ballast/sacs/+500 lbs lead.
Couple things I 'fell' are different that I'm not sure I like. (1) It feels like the push from the wake is not as fast as it was with original prop. Speeding up the boat helped a bit. (2) Bow feels like it may be riding a bit higher (like a Malibu).
I would love to go out and try switching props at the lake to see how it performs under exact same conditions but don't think my wife wants to play along with that pet project.
