ID:	381811Bought boat new in 2012. Has 343exc. Boats been great, but tonight I got the dreaded Linc Warning code

    Description:

"DTC 1418: EMWT1..higher than expected stage 1" and

" Auxillary temperature 1 is high- most severe level"

I was idling for a couple of minutes out of gear when I got the code. I cut the boat off and checked everything and all seemed fine, engine temp was 160, so I restarted the boat and headed back back to the launch ramp and all still was ok. I cut the boat off near the ramp and when I restarted it it idled for a few and then the Linc showed " Engine Warning", so I put it in gear and gave it a little throttle to get to the ramp, but it was in limp mode as I call it. All I had was a slow idle and that was it. U could try the throttle but nothing happens. As we got closer to the ramp I hit reverse to slowly slide the boat in, and no reverse. Turned the boat off and put the boat manually on the trailer. Re booted the system while on the trailer and I then had forward and reverse again.

So why these codes and why the limp mode? Please help. Going to take it to the local dealer, but don't have much faith in them as they weren't the dealer at the time I purchased the boat. Any help is appreciated.

    thanks,

I can't offer any insight but would be very interested in what the outcome is? Hope you have it sorted.

DTC1415 is for Exhaust Manifold Water Temp - you may have a faulty sensor if you are saying the engine temp was 160, or have a flow/restriction issue in feeding water through the stbd side manifold.
