Thanks for posting. I'm curious about how secure the FAE feels by hand when you push or put force on it from various directions. Also, can you keep us posted about any performance changes when you are out on the water.
In my mind, I can't believe it stays attached when the boat is moving more than just a few mph.

It is very solid. You really have to tug on it by hand to get it to move and that movement is very slight. I will be running this evening with comments to follow soon.2008 210 SANTE

Curious about your comment on the drill press. I am a bit surprised it does come pre drilled. Do you think that is so that you can get things to line up for each individual boat?
I also am very curious about this product. I am very interested in cutting down engine noise. I am not at all concerned about exhaust emissions. But I heard the rooster tail is very much bigger when wakeboarding.
Thanks in advance for sharing your results!

When you place the order there are several measurements that you will provide FAE. These measurements are then used in the fabrication of the system. So yes it is delivered with each specific boat having some variation in mind. The bracket that is welded to the pipe does have a couple of pre-drilled holes but with my install they were not used and I had to drill additional holes as well as holes in the spacer square tube and "L" brackets that are bolted to the spacer on the platform mount. This is where a drill press would have been a real advantage.
Like you my main reason for purchase was for noise reduction.
My boys ride anywhere from 65 to 80 feet rope length so I really cant imagine rooster tail being a concern. But i guess if you ride between the wake all the time we will see. I will take a photo this evening when I get out and run for the first time.2008 210 SANTE

Do you have any pictures of the install from the inside of the boat? Did you have to remove the exhaust manifold in order to gain access? I can’t decide which design install method is better the flange version like the Nautique surf pipe has or using the existing flange and sleeve the boat currently has like you did with your FAE. Any information regarding install and performance will be appreciated.
Thanks
