04 sante flashing low fuel at all times

As the title states the gauge reads low fuel at all times. I've did some research on here an it seems to point towards the sending unit. Although I've read where others replaced the sending unit and it did not fix. The boat will sadly be up for sale after this season and I want to make sure everything is in working order. Also I'm unable to display the hours with the red light flashing low fuel 24/7. Any help or input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sending unit is in under the back middle seat, under cool tray. Trier are four 5/16 screws holding it in, pull it out and move the black slider up and down to simulate gas levels if the gauge moves it's the sender,if not it's prob not the sender

Thanks I'll try that this weekend! The engine doesn't need to be on right? Just the power to the accessories?

Or yank out the sending unit, put an Ohm meter on the 2 wire plug, move the bulb up and down. Your Ohm meter will change resistance. I believe in the "Empty" position it should be 0 and full... (I can't remember, but it will be a higher resistance). I had to replace my dash gauge it was stuck at 1/2 tank. I would try Bhcarnahan24's method first.
