    Hydrogate Repair

The Hydrogate lever has become detached from what ever controls it should be attached to. I will need to remove the panel that houses the throttle and the hydrogate lever mechanism. Any advise on that would be appreciated.

Remove the screws around the hydrogate lever and then gently pry up on the ar/m rest cover. It is held in place with velcro like tabs. you may have to remove the speaker to give you space to reach up and attach cable nut if that is what is wrong.

Are you sure the disconect is at the lever end and not on the other end by the gate? I am not sure if you can see it without removing the ballast tank but you may want to check there if you can see/feel it easily as it might save you some trouble.

Lift out the SS cup holder insert and you can see what your working with. I'd look first.

I heard something fall and then the lever just became loose. If the plate was wider I could just pull the lever out of the side panel.
I'm hoping it was just a loosened nut that will fix it.

On my 2008 if I need to get behind that panel, the steps are 1. remove throttle (phillips on push button and allen head underneath), 2. pop off the vinyl covered panel (held on with plastic "christmas tree" retainers...I use a thin pry bar wrapped in a towel to apply pressure next to each plug), 3. unscrew and remove plastic panel holding tank gauges (phillips).

If yours is similar to '08 and uses the plastic christmas tree retainers, make sure you have some on hand for reinstall--it's likely you'll break one or two.
