So we were cruising along enjoying a nice wake surf session when the motor just quit. Of course the wake surfer crashed into the back of the boat dinging my new Inland surfer board. I realized that the fuel pump was not powering up. We switched the ignition and the fuel pump relays and the pump worked. Would not start of course without the ignition relay. A quick trip to the auto parts store, 12 dollars later and we were back in business. Had this problem with my '95 Sport before also. I think I'll add a relay to my spare parts collection.

hi, since i am just dumb on this stuff, but would love to have a back up too...
So what you are saying is you switched the two with eachother and then the pump worked...How did you tell that the pump was working if the boat could not start with the bad relay being in the ignition relay spot?
Do you have part # for the replacement relay? What auto parts store?
Is it this one?

So when you turn the key to 'on', the fuel pump should kick in and pressure up. You can feel the Fuel Cell and tell that the pump is working. In my old Sport I could hear it run in the on position and I always listened for it. I cant hear it on this 210.
Luckily it is the same type of relay for the ignition and the fuel pump so you just need one spare.

This is the part. O'Reily's charged me $12 for theirs though. But it was worth it to get back on the water.Old Boat: 1982 2001
