    prop size

HI I HAVE A 1995 196 AND HAVE WAITED IT OUT TO PRODUCE A GREAT WAKE, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS NOW SHE SEEMS TO BE STRUGGLING TO GET GOING. I've been told that changing the prop for a different pitch might help. As far as I know it has the original 3 blade prop on at the moment. Does anyone know which would be the ideal prop for wakeboarding with her fully loaded. Cheers

There are a few members on here that will probably chime in but one thing I would start with is calling ACME. They will want to know what the prop you have on now is and where your RPMS are at wide open throttle. Also how much weight and your primary use.

I agree with the above advice, give Acme or Delta Propellers a call. You can find the specs on your current prop by looking for a stamping on the side between the blades. If there is nothing there then you will need to remove the castle nut and look for it stamped on the hub. The first number will be the diameter and the second number will be the pitch. The lower the pitch, the better your acceleration but the tradeoff is lower top end speed.

This chart might help you as well:
