Zero Off / Speed Sensor for NSS setup 2009 SANTE 230

    Guys

I purchased a NSS kit for a 2013 Nautique as well as your Lenco Dual Ram switch. Installing a NSS setup from a 2013 on my 2009 SANTE 230. I want to be able to cancel or retract the plates when going over say 15 mph similar to the Link 2.0 systems, (My boat has the regular gauges pre-linc).

Thinking I could setup something when either the Zero Off is engaged the NSS could be deployed via the 12 volts trigger wire for the Lenco switch ( orange in the diagram below ). Between 0 - 15 mpg it would enable and power 12 volts power the Lenco Switch enabling the trim tab switch. Over 15 mph it would drop the 12 volts power to the orange wire basically disabling the switch.

If power was dropped would the trim tabs retract or just be still engaged assuming so since power was dropped?

    • When Zero Off is engaged it would have power 12 volts and it could be active it.
    • When Zero Off is not engaged it would have 12 volts to enable it.

    Open to ideas and feedback.

Have done lots of research into these myself but more for paddlewheel, which i have almost completed a fully automated circuit which i may take orders for.(final testing hopefully next few weeks as its winter here) Actuators arrive in a few weeks, but i will have circuit operational in boat before attaching them. just using LED's to tell me whether they are operating correct

You need to buy the Lenco 'auto retract box' part of the circuit.. if you only have the switch and the actuators, you only have manual use of the tabs .

yes loss of power to the orange wire will auto retract, however from my searching of internet, it will auto retract both actuators at the same time regardless of whether in or out, for a set period of about 5 seconds i believe. this is so that both actuators are set back to their zero point. I am pretty sure they will not go out again unless you manually hold the switch again. (maybe someone else can confirm.)

I have confirmed from Lenco that the actuators will keep running at either end of their travel, until power is stopped(this is why they use momentary switches). whilst short bursts are not a problem after they have reached the end of their travel, they advise there may/will be problems if left running so i have included timers in my circuits

reason i made my own circuitry is so that it auto retracts less than 5mph and over 15mph, it can also be switched from side to side whilst the boat is moving, and has variable extension settings built into it at the time of making(prototype has 3 settings)
Almost like the linc but without the 60K plus upgrade from our 220
5-15mph and all extension settings are customisable

my circuit box almost done with switches
    illuminated on/off system switch
left/right switch 2 x led's for clear display of which tab is operating
    amount of travel switch
option also for alarm sound if you go over 15mph, but not needed as offending tab will retract anyway automatically

will keep site updated with my progress

Be very interested to hear your progress and a possible beta tester if you need one.

      Thx
      Dave

How were you able to order the NSS kit for your 2009? I have the same exact year and model. I thought the dealer wouldn't order it for older boats?
