Anyone know where to get DIY help with Gun Metal Gray Metallic gelcoat? I am fairly adept at repairing gelcoat, but I am told there are no patch / repair kits for Gun Metal Gray Metallic gelcoat and that it has to be done at a dealer. I really don't want to pay $500 or more for a $100 job at best. Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

It will be difficult to get a good match. Metalflake changes color depending on how thin the mixture is, the drying time, the temperature, orientation of the surface, humidity, possibily the phase of the moon, ETC, ETC.
I recommend spraying some test panel, taking very careful notes of what you did to get a shade tha matches, or not.
