    Ignition surge 93 ski nautique

Just started and motor cutting on and off, when off all gauges and ignition light turns off for one second then back on and repeats. Normally ignition light/fuse is always on, also ignition key switch was warm to the touch

Typical starting point would be to carefully check the kill switch and eliminate that as a possibility.

1997 Masters Edition Nautique - Zephyr Green - gone (amazing ski wake)
1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)

If the igniution switch is warm to the touch, it is trying to tell you something.
Either too much current is going through it, because of excess load, or a short circuit somewhere, or the switch is going bad, and has high internal resistance, and normal current flow is being converted to heat. That means the voltage after the switch is low, and that could cause an ignition misfire.

Ok, ordered a new ignition switch but can believe this is the problem due to seeing the ignition switch light going on and off, not sure what it hooks up to but it's 20 years old, was thinking about switching with one from an the panel with less use...

Are you sure the actual ignition current runs thru the switch? Typically, the ignition switch just controls a relay that triggers the actual current to the ignition system. I do concur that a warm switch suggests problems...maybe corrosion or something.
