2005 SV-211 Gauge Problem

I have a 2005 211 that has a problem with the two main gauges (RPM and Speed) are both coming on. Any recommendations on what to check for? Obviously there is a lose wire, but I am unfortunately not very electrical savvy. I appreciate any help.

The power to all gauges should be fed from a single purple wire, just daisy chained from gauge to gauge. I would check there first. Dash is really easy to get out, just remove steering wheel first.
