    Prop help

I dinged my prop up this weekend, easily repairable. But i don't have a backup, So i'm looking at my options I've emailed delta and they got back to me fast. I thought i would see what you guys think.

    I have a 2012 210 with the Zr450. I've got about 2k in ballast.

I run the 1579 i'm willing to loose a little off the bottom end to gain some on top end for barefooting it runs 42 with no one on the line.

Delta says 645 seems to be what they see on the majority of correct crafts and in reality there would not be much difference with the 1161.

    acme-1161
    Blades: 4
    Acme - Diameter: 13 1/2, Cup: .135
    Pitch: 16

    Blades: 4
    Acme - Diameter: 13 1/4, Cup: .105
    Pitch: 16
    Shaft: 1 1/8
    Rotation: LH

    acme-1579

    Acme - Diameter: 13 1/2, Cup: .105
    Pitch: 14 1/4

I'm not doubting them just looking for opinions, thanks

Thanks nyryan what makes you suggest this?
      Anybody running a 14" prop on a 210?

        I ran a 1939 on a 6.0L 400hp 247... and it ran 44mph...with a heavier boat and less hp than what you have. I bet you'd see 44-46mph.

you have a beefy engine in that boat, it"d capitalize and swing that larger dia and pitch up to 5500rpms.

if you wanna increase speed... pitch and cup are first to increase. surpised you have a smaller 13.5" dia prop on there to begin with. 1939 would increase your top speed AND your hole shot while ballasted.

I run a 1617 on my 2012 210. The 14" diameter props are perfect. Any larger could cause hull burn, and any smaller really sacrifices performance. I agree that the 1939, is probably exactly what you're looking for, and is probably perfect for your boat and the way you want to use it. I doubt you will gain any hole shot (despite the bigger surface area, there is quite a bit of difference between 14.25 pitch and 15.5 pitch), but I doubt you lose very much. 44-46 top end nyryan suggested is very achievable. If that's not fast enough, you'd have to go to the 1939. They make a 14x20 also which would probably get north of 50 mph, but I don't imagine it will be very efficient for wakeboarding.

@nyryan2001, the 13.5 diamater 1579 is standard on the 210.

              gotcha on the 13.5.

I bet his hole shot still increases with the 1939 when ballasted due to that big engine. dropping pitch does make a faster launch for engines that lack the hp/tq to swing a larger pitched prop up to 4000rpm+ the second they throw the throttle down....but, with his big hp setup, I am fairly certain he could swing it north of 4000rpm before he hits 3-5 mph as he launches. Plenty of power to swing that longer pitch up imemdiately, and take bigger steps.

Hull clearance. most of the prop manf with reccomend at least 1"+ of clearance between prop and hull.

That is why CC puts a 13.5 on there. Maintaining 1" of clearance is just not really feasible on the 210 if you want a real performance prop. There's about 3/4" clearance with a 14" if I remember correctly. I know I measured it, I just don't remember. I don't know of anyone that has had any problems with it.

Thanks again guys! I ordered the 1939 last night. I will let you know how it performs.

I did measure the distance, stock distance is 1" i'm not worried about it.

I'm a barefooter and slalom skier with a 330HP SV211. I have had a 644, 1160, and a 1234 on my boat. I hated what the larger props did to the wake at faster speeds. They work fine for boarding but they destroyed the slalom wake and made the barefoot platform mushy. Keep the box, if you don't like the platform I would suggest you try the 1161 with that powerplant and your use.

Just put the 1939 on my 2013 210 with ZR450. Headed to powell in 1.5 weeks. Will update results when I get back. Hudd, have you been able to use the prop much yet?

I also find it interesting that the boat with the 450 comes with a 13.5 prop. My friends 2013 210 with the 409 came stock with a 14 inch (can't remember pitch) prop. Anyone have an idea as to the reason why? Click image for larger version
